Excursions on Foot
From the village of Punta Križa, you can get to Lusare, Peski or Murtovnik. These were the first inhabited locations that have gradually become extinct and created the town of Punta Križa.
Desirable destinations also include Jami na sredi, a cave dating back to 700 B.C. If you start from Punta Križa and walk 5 km in the direction of Osor, you will reach Garmožaj – take a left and you will reach Jami na sredi after a 30-minute walk on a marked path.
Matalda, a cottage on the very top of the hill, makes an ideal vantage point providing a view of the islands of Rab, Pag and Krk, and Velebit, our largest mountain.
On the other side of the peninsula is the Vela straža belvedere, ideal for seeing all the beautiful sights of this location.
Large majority of footpaths are possible to explore with bike, too.

Road based excursions…
Take a tour of the ancient town of Osor that enabled sailing from one sea into the other thanks to an artificial channel. Transit traffic between the Dalmatian coast and North Adriatic used to take place here. The foundations of the town walls reveal its ancient history and make this relic town mythical. The entire town is an outdoor museum where artists have left their tracks, from the early-Christian basilica to Meštrović.
After Osor, set off for Valun where the Valun Tablet dating back to the 11th century was found, and then to Cres, its town square, town gate, Mandrač and the parish church.
On the island of Lošinj, visit Mali Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj. Visit the Kula (Tower) and the gallery in Veli Lošinj and learn about the bottle-nosed dolphins that live in our archipelago. In Mali Lošinj, don’t miss the aroma garden with a number of indigenous plants. Stroll across the beautiful quay in Mali Lošinj and experience all the benefits of small picturesque towns on the Adriatic coast.
Surely you should visit the unique museum of Apoxiomenos which is dedicated to a bronze sculpture found in the waters near the island of Lošinj.
